Program

The conference, held in association with the Swedish EU presidency in autumn 2009, is organized by the European Commission DG INFSO, the FIREworks project, the CO-LLABS project and the Centre for Distance spanning Technology at Luleå University of Technology, in cooperation with the FIRE portfolio projects and the European and Swedish Network of Living Labs.

General Objectives of the Event

  • To address the cruciality of multi-disciplinary, experimental and participatory Future Internet research
  • To demonstrate and promote the potential of the Living Lab approach within the Future Internet Research context;
  • To share ongoing Future Internet research among the FIRE and Living Lab community for a common understanding
  • To announce FP7 ICT call 5
  • To discuss how Living Lab and FIRE can work jointly together for best value of Europe in the context of the Lisbon Strategy i2010

 

Target audience

This event is specific adressing project partners of the project portfolio of FIRE and members of the European Network of Living Labs and the Living Lab open innovation community. We also welcome others who are interested to learn more about ongoing Future Internet Research and Living Labs.

 

Submission of contribution

In preparation for the FIRE and Living Lab tutorials and workshops on July 2 we invite projects and Living Labs to send in their proposed contributions. In addition there will also be an exhibition organized on FIRE projects and ENoLL members along different Living Lab themes (Energy, e-Health, Media and Tourism). Suggested contributions should be submitted via a contribution form latest May 25 2009! (NOTE: extended deadline until June 1)

Event arrangements

Day 1 (July 1 2009)
Thanks to our sponsors we can offer day 1 free of charge (you need to register).
 BUT for people registered but not cancelling nor showing up at the conference-day you will be charged a ”not-attending-fee” of 650 SEK(VAT incl.)(note: 650SEK~60EUR).

Day 2 (July 2 2009) has a participation-fee of 1250 SEK (VAT incl.)
to be paid via the registration form. (note: 1250SEK~110EUR)
The participation fee includes:

  • Food (coffee, lunch and dinner)
  • Conference dinner July 2
  • Transportation from hotels to conference venue July 2

Participation fee DOES NOT include any food or services beyond those dates explicitly stated above.

Cancellation of registrations are possible until June 15 2009.
The participants are responsible for their own costs, including travel and accommodation.
Official language during this event is English.
